I've found a couple side by side abandoned houses in a pretty great location, but they have no for sale signs posted. How do i find out if they are for sale?

Check with the county real estate tax office to find out who the owner is and the owner's address, and then get in touch with the owner. Sometimes this basic information is online thru the county's website, or thru the state tax office's website.

You can look on your local GIS or county tax records to find the owner, and then contact them with an offer.

they are probably in foreclosure and awaiting trustee sales.

visit you local or county tax accessors - they should have the information for you - on who you can contact.

our county actually lists the upcoming trustee sales and contact names of the trustees on the interent.

good luck

You need to check the local land register, land office, or whatever it is called in your area to determine who holds title to the properties involved. You are free to contact them to see if they are interested in selling the properties.
