In a purely non-drug related sense, cheating has a long history in the game and especially with pitches who will do anything to gain an advantage in a game increasingy made to favor the hitters.

It's not cheating in the sense of PEDs or betting. Not every pitch was doctored, and there is no way to judge which were or weren't. Stealing signs sounds like cheating, but it isn't. Doctored ball are more like that than PEDs. Lew Burdette was a pitcher who was accused of cheating. After he retired he said that he rarely ever cheated. He let the accusation that he did do a psych job on the batters. So, how you gonna judge?

You can say all you want to about how the Hall of Fame let in cheating pitchers, but you will never be able to take them out of the Hall of Fame. They were never proven guilty of using illegal substances, and you shouldn't accuse someone of anything unless you had the facts. You're pointiing aimlessly to these players who were never proven guilty, who deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. Imagine if you were one of these pitchers, and you had millions of people telling you that you were a cheater, when you were never proven guilty. Ovbiously the Hall of Fame trustees thought that these pitchers were worthy to get in, and you shouldn't be pointing your finger to these baseball players. You should think before you point fingers at people.

One could add noted ball-scuffer Whitey Ford, but more importantly, and the SI gallery made this clear, the emery board pitcher was JOE NIEKRO and not his HOF brother Phil.
I've seen this stupid mistake made before, smearing Phil N., and I really am very tired of it. Joe was nailed dead-to-rights. Phil, never, nor suspected of such perfidy.

i think because they were never discovered to have been doing it for their whole career, and they served the suspensions, but were never caught again. so its hard to accuse them of doing it for their whole careers when they cant prove that
i mean, they let bill maz in and he was a career .260 hitter. so i think they should stay in

You can also say the same about Ty Cobb who was investigated for a possible murder as well as being investigated for fixing games.
