Many of the audience would probably disagree with what the speaker thought was "pro-American".

And they would shout back and argue and express their own opinions. As an earlier poster commend, that would include getting "booed" -- which is they way it's supposed to work. You express an opinion, the people who disagree express an opinion. That's the entire nature of free speech.

If you're implying they would try to silence or exile the person, then you are basing your opinion on a very small subset of the millions of people who hold liberal philosophical ideals.

I don't know about a speech but a pro-Bush comment sparks a lot of name calling and personal attacks! I had a lot of bad looks and name calling when Sean Hannity came here in 2004, phew.....lots of hostility!

What would the reaction be if YOU actually asked a legitimate, mature, civil, intelligent question instead of this trolling tripe?

Who are you and how old are you?

I live in CA, so I've never been present at a pro-American speach or even conversation. I have trouble imagining what one might be like...

It'd would be an efficient way to lose friends, at minimum. In a public setting, I'd expect you'd be shouted down. If it was a publicized event, you could probably count on said shouting down being organized, possibly involving having comparatively innocuous items thrown at you, or the stage being mobbed. That is, if the venue didn't cancel on you.

If it were me, there would be 2 things that would happen. Some of those libs would walk away asking themselves why they were liberal. The rest of them would be screaming and throwing things at me for pointing out to them through my speech that they were in fact anti-American.

I would then be forced to run for president and would win by carrying every state by a landslide.

Well at least the screaming and throwing things is true.

People would applaud and be completely energized because I'm just that impressive a public speaker.

Be prepared to use a hyped up megaphone to shout over the boos and badgering. Also, wear bulletproof clothing. Not for bullets but for other things that might be thrown.

I'm not saying all libs would act up, but the extremes are always the loudest.

I'm serious.

Pro-American? Does that category incloude those who are adamantly in favor of the war but never bothered to serve when they had the chance?

Wow, five thumbs down thus far, I guess that hit too close to home for some!

Well, based on some of "peace" marches somebody is likely to get beat up or killed.
