He cured my cousin's homosexuality, so I guarantee he can cure yours if you let him. All you have to do is take the first step and go down to you local baptist church, and ask for help. They'll take care of the rest.

Did it ever occur to you that you can be gay AND spiritual? I don't know why the religions wrong keep thinking that. Most of us believe in god, probably different religions etc and were all fine.

And for your own education realize that you can't change genetics. You're born the way you're born and I can guarantee that your cousin is not 'cured'....he's just living in the closet and most likely sleeping with men every chance he gets.

It's a sad life your cousin will lead. He'd be better off living truthfully. I think he'll eventually come to that conclusion.

P.S. God made us the way we are and Jesus said not to judge but you guys almost always forget that.

What the hell are you on about!!!! Homosexuality can't be cured it's not a disease. Your cousin has just repressed his feelings to be somebody he is not just for the sake of appearances.

I am sorry but as a Christian I truly resent all the biggots out there who think homosexuality can be CURED!!!!

I believe in God and have a strong Christain faith but I do not live my life by the bible verbatim. Homosexuality is one of nature's evolutionary quirks and just because the bible rejects it doesn't mean I have to.

Why do people treat it as a disease.

I am not homosexual myself and although I do not relate to their feelings for same sex relationships I would like to believe that I am open minded enough to accept that it is part of their genetic make up and therefore have every right to be treated like everyone else.

You'll be telling us that your local Baptist church can cure autism or spina bifida next.

Why are you addressing homosexuality in your question? If you feel able to guarantee a cure, why don't you go for the gold? Poverty, AIDS/HIV, millions with little or poor health care... these issues are killing so many. Why aren't your efforts aimed at curing these? Christ addressed human suffering, poverty and love. Can we cure these ills down at the Baptist church?

In one of the prayers in a 12-step meetings, it states that people should "take what you want but leave the rest." I couldn't think of a more fitting statement for this question.

For some, the concept of "reverse therapy" may work but for others, it may not necessarily work. There are many things in life that are mind-over-matter. I don't think denying ones true self is something mind-over-matter but then again, that is just my opinion.

If you believe that your cousin is "cured" from homosexuality, then this is your belief. I just don't appreciate having your beliefs shoved down my throat as law. It may have worked for your cousin, but this sure isn't going to work for me. Good luck to your cousin and I really hope he is "cured."

Gay... Christian... see you in Heaven...

By the way... Why does it have to be a BAPTIST church?? Aren't all the churches promoting conversion this month?

Sorry... that was probably wrong... I will pray for you and your cousin. Your cousin may just be trying to fit in with your family. I think he doesn't feel any love and acceptance from you unless he is forced to be straight. As someone previously said, sadly, many people who "change" end up committing suicide on in DEEP depression.

Is that what you REALLY want for your cousin? All because you can not see, or do not believe, that the God who loves you is BIG ENOUGH to love ALL HIS CHILDREN???

Prayers and Blessings!

SERIOUSLY?!?!?
do you think your cousin is 'cured'? i mean, listen to yourself man, that's just bullshit just like Jesus... ¬¬
I mean, the problem with homosexuality isn't being it, it's just trying to avoid people like you...
You know, my cousin was Baptist, and family and friends that really care for his happiness cure him and now he's a much happier person... so why don't you give it a try and stop being such an ignorant loser!

Jesus' teachings were about loving and accepting others. Homosexuality is not a disease; therefore, there is no need to attempt to cure something that's natural and beautiful.

Jesus should be helping you overcome your bigotry and hatred.

Its funny that you posted this question and kinda ironic. At first, I had typed a really long reply and spewed alot of my opinions about the teachings of Christ, etc. But I changed my mind. So i will offer only this:

Its was exactly as you said, "Through Jesus Christ & Prayer", that i finally came to understand that God's love for me is NOT conditional on my sexuality and that I should live my life as a good, God loving, man. He loves me and wants me to keep him first in my life. Who I choose to love and share my life with will NOT keep me out of God's hand. I have no doubt about my destination in the hereafter - Heaven. And it will be on the express train too. The ticket has been brought, bought and paid for through Christ's suffering. PERIOD!

Yep; thanks to prayer and the love of Christ, i finally accepted me, as Christ did a long time ago. Thanks for helping me to remember that.

-white, southern, Christian, slightly right of center, male, who happens to be gay.

My sympathies to your cousin. He is not cured, but he is probably scarred for life. Homosexuality is not a disease or something you can cure. I am sorry, but that is the way it is.

I guess your cousin needs prayer for him now, to escape from a rather hideous harm that the church has inflicted to his psyche.
Are you real, I wonder. the "They'll take care of the rest" sounds pretty spooky.
