Yesterday the Democrats introduced a bill that would make it illegal for the US to take Iraq's oil, or to permanently station US troops in that country. How do you feel about that bill? Should Mr. Bush sign it, or should he veto it? Is this just a case of "showboating" or is it actually a good law?

Seriously you think Bush would sign that?
He already has his arm twitching waiting to veto it.

I think it is another case of "showboating", whatever that means. The Democrats don't know what they are talking about. Someimes I think the same about the Republicans, although I am one. Now, about the troops going over to Iraq. If the Americans can't go over to Iraq to fight, then the Iraqis should be banned from immigrating to the USA. Hey, it makes sense. So, right there is where I say Mr. Bush should veto the bill.

Considering that the oil in Iraq, belongs to Iraq, it isn't ours to do anything with! I don't have a problem with Congress writing a law that protects it from thieves! Even us!
After we wrote our constitution, and got our country going, we did not need any help getting it going! WE should leave Iraq to settle its own government, and deal with their own problems, just like we did!And get our troops out of there!
And it is not showboating! How much more money are we going to spend in Iraq? We need our money here! Education, and other programs need that money far more than the Iraqi government!
Let the Bush Administration be altruistic in OUR COUNTRY for a change!

I would guess that they are doing whatever they can to try to stop this senseless and needless war. They won't get far with Bush though without the help from the Republican Party. If the Republicans are serious about winning the 2008 elections they would do well to go against the Bush administration like Ron Paul has from the beginning.

Can't comment without reading the bill. Do you have the number? In which house was it introduced? Hate to cause a hassle but I don't form opinions based on what I hear from politicians or the main stream media.

1st the UN is the one taking the oil, not the US, get your facts straight. the democrats and the Republicans are all about show boating while accomplishing nothing. nothing wrong with us having a base over there I thing it would be a good thing.
