hi friends. I am Indian n presently in Mumbai (india). I am planning to take a visitor visa for singapore n look out for a job out there. I am hospitality graduate n do hold six month industrial exposure as well. Anyone residing in singapore can really help me out wit some of my querries
1) Can visitor visa be converted into work permit if im selected at any 5star property or any hotel?
2)where i can find an economical house? how expensive is to live n reside in singapore? i am looking for an average accomodation? and how abt daily household commodities is it expensive?
3)how abt public transportation like bus train n cabs (taxi) are they expensive?
friends really help me out so i can file up n come n startup my life out in singapore. thanx for everyone who answer my question. friends i do require honest answer really god will give u prosperity in ur life

1) yes, visitor's visa can be converted into employment pass or work permit.

2) they are people who spent a good few thousands on condominium, but if you want to save money, you can choose to live in flat (per room about $250 -$400) if you want the whole unit without sharing with others, then at least $850 per month.

3) Public transportation is efficient and cheap. Most people spent less than $2 per day for bus. Spend longer time will get you to almost anywhere in Singapore by bus or MRT combined. Need not take taxi.

Sarah T has answered your questions but I want to add there is a 30 day, renewable visa you can get to find a job when your social visa expires. It will require documentation of your qualifications so be sure to bring certified copies of, Birth Certificate, Diplomas, Transcripts and recommendations if possible. You'll need that for your employment pass as well.
