Don't ask your dad if he's doing it for his pleasure. That's stupid. If you feel uncomfortable just say "Dad I don't feel comfortable with you constantly checking my heart beat." and tell him that you can both go to the doctor together. If you feel uneasy bc you feel that your dad is quite possibly doing this bc of a sick reason, then talk to your mother or another adult that you trust.

skipped beats are normal in all of us, it is no big deal. Sounds like dad is obsessive compulsive about your health. I would suggest a trip to the doctor and ask him to explain to dad that you are perfectly healthy and he doesn't need to listen to your heart anymore.

If he is really that worried about it....offer to let him check your pulse (on your wrist) instead of using a stethoscope. Works just as well.

you should realize how lucky you are to have a dad that cares enough to do that and even if it is for ''pleasure'' it's not like it's going to kill you he's your dad the sooner you just let him the sooner it's over with

your doc is probably correct, you may have had an electrolyte imbalance when you were growing but if you don't feel palpatations anymore and your ekg's are normal i'd say don't worry too much
