Ok i have just spilled my 94 Honda 600 F2 because of some driver thinking it would be a great idea to cut infront of me at a stop light. I am sure this has happened to almost every rider, unfortinaly there was an oil slick and my front wheel when out from under. When they saw me spill they ran, so i have no insurance to put this on.

I have pretty much scraped up my entire left side of the bike and its plastics. I was wondering were is a good place to go eighter online, or retail store to pick up replacements at a good price, as well if i have to paint these pieces and such what would be the best way of doing it. Any help in repair would be welcome. Also if there is anposibility of someone who knows of anyone else with these parts it would be greatly accepted,

Depending on how bad it's all scraped you could repair it. If we are talking cracks and chunks missing you are better off getting it replaced.
If it is gouged or deep cuts.
Take the piece off the bike
Sand the entire piece (so it's not shiny)
Make sure to sand the gouged areas.
Clean it with mild detergent.
Go to autozone and get any type of plastic filler. (this is determined by how much you need)
Begin applying let it dry, sand down.
Continue until you get the original look back.
Now sand it with a fine grain sandpaper until it's smooth and no lines are visible.
Clean it again.
prime and paint.
Depending on how much damage this could be an afternoon or a couple of weeks.

If you need new the guys above me are right, also try a dealership as they might have a catalog with replacement plastic.
Good luck man.

Hey laxgod,

Sorry to hear about your as$hole encounter. The other guys have some practical repair advice, but I'm wondering.............
Is there any chance you've caught this idiot on camera?

The reason I ask is that where I live (W.London UK) we have so many c.c.t.v. & traffic camera's & Gatso's around you can't get to the end of your road without appearing on a t.v. screen!

Check out the junction a.s.a.p and if there's a chance you've got them on film report the "accident" to the police and they should be able to pull up stills (at least you'd have his details even if they didn't want to pursue him)

Hope this helps - maybe you don't live in an Orwellian area - but there ought to be some perks for those that do!

Have you priced new parts form your local dealer? that's a start.
Now is a good time to think about what you really want to do with the bike. You fix it back to stock or you can customize. For stock parts I would look on eBay, and craigslist.com AFTER I called around to local shops first and then hit the puter. Good Luck. I hope you didn't get hurt. Try to stay out of the center of your lane especially at intersections.

I second the vote for Motorcycle Salvage. They specialize in finding parts for older bikes, and they are networked with other salvage outfits across the nation.
