The Rangers will win - if you can call it a win. I don't think any team is willing to give up as much as Texas wants for him and the Rangers GM still has a bad taste in his mouth from the Chris Young and Adrian Gonzalez trades so I don't see him backing down off of his asking price.

I'm not 100% positive on what the Rangers want fot him, but I believe it is 1 or 2 pitching prospects that will be ready for the majors by next spring and 1 position player in the same situation.

Mark teixera will not be traded if there gm asks that much. He wanted Phillip Hughes from New York. The Rangers are in a tough position because they cant afford Teixera and theyre not going to get full price for him.

Braves:

Jarrod Saltalamacchia and a pitching prospect.

Just by being a Scott Boras client really drops his stock. People really don't want to deal with that punk. But at least Tex will only be under arbitration and can't become a FA until '09.

Im a big Red Sox fan and would love to see him in Boston. However if he comes he'll play first and Youk and Lowell will be up in the air for third. The cost of this trade will more than liekly not only be money but team unity, in that Youk and Lowell will not be happy.

I think he will go to a National League team, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him wind up with the Braves. I know the Braves have expressed an interest.
