My husband and i have been happily married 16 yrs no kids yet..When we were dating/newlyweds and thru out the yrs we have never made love everyday or several times a day or for hrs and hrs like i have heard or read about most if not all couples doing..Are we rare or are there other couples like this..We usually make love 2 to 3 times a week...This doesnt bother us cause we are both happy, content and satisfied with the loving making and amount but im just curious about this.

i think it's normal.
there are times that go by that my husband and i make love several times aday, and there have been weeks we have made love everyday.
however, on the other end, there have been a week or two here and there with no love making.
average for us is maybe 4x a week.

The two of you sound very normal. You actually make love more often than a lot of couples. 15% of couples live in a sexless marriage - that means having sex less than 10 times per year.

The point is that it doesn't matter what everyone else is doing. What matters is that both of you are happy and content with the frequency of sex. Congratulations on having what sounds like a great sex life.

If you are happy and your spouse is happy - what's the problem? Don't worry about what the rest of the world is doing. The rest of the world can't seem to stay married for 16 years! So obviously you guys are doing something right.

You guys are good. You probably share the same sex drive. That is a good thing. Listen, i am like a guy, I want it all the time, my partner has a much lower libido, he's happy with twice a week! Very frustrating, especially because he's so damned good-looking, LOL!!!

You're normal, and very healthy in your relationship.
The stories you hear are sometimes true, but that type of non-stop lust doesn't last more than a few years.
Nothing wrong with spending Saturday in bed, or some scenario like that, or doing it everyday, but like I said, that doesn't last for years and years, maybe a few years at best.
Normal is what is normal for you.

There is no "norm" in a relationship such as marriage. If you are both happy and content with the sex, then don't worry. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Have fun!

If the relationship is working well for you, then there is no reason to think your the odd couple. My relationship with my fiance sounds about the same, and we are perfectly content.

Don't worry Frannie, you are unique. Just like everybody else.

If you're both happy do you really need to compare your marriage to anyone else, especially the unhappy ones?

It is normal, it gets worse when you have kids too.... but as long as you guys are happy don't read into it and become unhappy because you think something is wrong

No your not all that unusual, I have known MANY couples like that. Having sex less or more frequent than others doesn't make you any more or any less unusual..
Hope i helped!
