red gatorade was spilled on the carpet and we have tried pretty much everything and nothing is working.

Kids'n'pets. You can get it at Walmart. It's usually near wherer they keep the cleanser and other household cleaning supplies. It got tomato, dog vomit, grease and orange soda out of my very light colored carpet. I swear by it and most of my friends have really had great luck with it too. I've never tried it on Gatorade, but it's inexpensive for starters. (About $3.50 for a bottle) Good Luck.

They are professional and reliable.
Most times they can remove it when they know what it is.
Do not call those who advertise 3 rooms for $XXX.
Remember that "Kool Aid" contains the same dye that is used to dye carpet. Egg dyes too.
IDK about Gatorade, but could be.

Ouch that's awful poor you. My husband still remembers when he was about 10 years old and spilled some purple coloured drink on his mum's new carpet the day after it was installed; she didn't speak to him for three weeks. Did you try the soda water and blotting method? I would probably call in the professionals ASAP. Good luck!

try drenching the area with HOT WATER from the tea kettle or coffee pot or just boil some water & get a brush & scrub & drench the area once again !! & then place large amounts of mostly WHITE paper on top of the wet area to soak up remaining water & maybe traces of gatorade-[color]
