You can lose your plug like a month before you have the child. And I always did. If you aren't even a little dialated I would guess you still have a long haul. I was dialated to 4 cm with my son before I was even in active labor. And 7 cm with my daughter before I was in active labor. I was pretty much in labor off and on for a month with each of my children.

it could be that your baby is just moving down and is sitting on your siatic nerve. This will cause shooting and numbing pains down your legs. I was told to wait until my contractions were 3 minutes apart before going in. I left when they were 5 minutes apart because i was 30 minutes away from the hospital. Good luck

I lost my mucus plug on a Sunday and went into labor Monday night. The hospital also wanted to send me home but I walked around for 2 hours to make me dilate and they kept me. I also had really bad back labor.

You are probably just experiencing your hips widening and getting ready for delivery. Labor for you is probably really close. Talk to your doctor about the pains at your next OB appt... provided you are still pregnant!
