You can get pregnant at any time, no matter who is on top.

You can get pregnant a few days prior to and including ovulation. Best not to take chances; always use some form of protection, whether birth control, condoms, or spermicide.

Positions don't generally influence pregnancy rates, but being on top often makes him go deeper due to the way your hips line up.

a woman can conceive at any time, even during her period, depending on her level of fertility. The highest risk is mid way between periods. And no, there is no decrease in risk if the woman is on top. If you don't want to get pregnant, then use a condom, or a diaphragm or birth control pills.

Before you get your period is the highest chance, like 1-2 weeks before.
you can still get pregnant easily even if you're on top, theres no real trick to that. If you don't want a condom(i recommend them tho!)
you can buy some contraceptive foam(or the little pill shaped ones) that you use before having sex. Walgreen's sells them.

Well before and after...usually two weeks after your period but all women are different. But usually you are ovulating when you see a increase in clear discharge. Some women ovulate during their period. There are different positions that can help but i don't think it really makes that big of a difference. Usually when you are trying to get pregnant like you are doing invetro, they would tell you after they implant it to stay laying down, with you feet up. So...who knows....just wait it out and take a test.

any time you have sex, there is a chance of getting pregnant. either wear a condom, or abstain.

positions, time of the month dont matter. different women have different schedules. men's sperm can stay alive for up to 5 days in your womb. and it only takes one little sperm to make it up to your egg.

You being on top will not prevent pregnancy. Just ask my daughter! She was the best surprise I ever had! I believe there is no "safe zone" from pregnancy or std's.
