I can never decide between these three because their styles are so different. Isaac Asimov, Anne McCaffrey & Tolkien. But these are the only authors that I actually read, re-read, and re-read their books. I own everything published by Anne, most of Tolkien's and am working on Asimov's.

that's a tough one because i like different authors for different things. i like jane austen when i'm in the mood for something funny but smart, ann rule when i'm on a true-crime kick, richard matheson for horror, david sedaris for a laugh, etc. but if i had to choose just one author to read for the rest of my life, it would be dostoevsky or tolstoy because i love russian literature.

Ayn Rand. She is amazing. I am about 3/4 done with her book, Atlas Shrugged, but I can not wait to get another one of her books. AMAZING!

Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. His books are always a good laugh. Too bad he's dead though; they're all droppin' like flies, it seems...
