I have been asked by my friend The Dark Prince to apologize to anyone I offended. I will because he asked. I apologize to anyone I might have offended. I acted out of wanting to protect a friend and I am sorry.

Ah don't worry about it. No sweat. No harm no foul, right?

Beth, you didn't offend me...in fact, I'm not even sure what you're apologizing for...however, if you were honest and not trying to cause harm...well, then there is nothing to apologize for anyway. Let those who are offended tell you, otherwise assume they feel you just said what was on your mind...something everyone has a right to do. And if they tell you they're offended, decide for yourself if they were justified...if they were, then apologize, but if they are more concerned with being PC, then ignore them. We need a little more honesty sometimes.

peace

We are only human and sometimes we do things we may not like or regret but again we are not "perfect" people. If we lived in a "perfect world" things would only be boring and there wouldn't be anything to learn. We all make mistakes and what is important not that we make mistakes but that we learn from them. I looked at your profile and I didn't see anything that referred to your response up above. If anything I feel "The Dark Prince" actually should be thanking you for your beautiful comments about him. He needs to take sometime and read your profile where you mention his name. You mentioned how much you love his poetry and how more people should like him as much as you do. I think The Dark Prince needs a reality check or maybe just needs to lighten up alittle. Yahoo Answers is an opportunity to open up and share your feelings and give advice. If someone decides to be on Yahoo Answers they might be opening themselves up to the possibility that someone may say something they don't like. Let it bounce off of you and move on. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!

Standing back just a moment to look at the fences
you've attempted to mend like conflicted tenses
in verse, I think you could do worse, but better
also since the friend you defended was other
than the one you made trouble on behalf of --terrific!--
and emails you sent, and libel more specific,
and off the deep-end you did jump for this interest
so it's more than the offense you're pretending
it's character assassination, and a law you were bending.
Try to be more honest, true, and responsible
if you want to be taken as serious and reliable.

So, happy I'm not, sorry to say,
try again sometime and may-
be some day, "it's accepted" I'll say
if I believe your sincere in that way.

Edit:

Sorry, oh so sorry, that the Phool's brand of fairness
ain't "forgive and forget", and I'm not be a merchant of venice
or old dumpy king lear, but I think that a serious crime
happened here, and even without sentence or time--
someone needs to fess up, and take what they own;
and until then I'll keep picking at this bone!

Beth, there is nothing wrong with wanting to defend a friend. You obviously thought the situation was hurtful. Thanks for the open apology--it would be good to put it all behind us, and be civil to one another. I was mainly sorry to see so many people upset. I was never offended by you personally.

I wish you the best.

You did not offend...well, maybe annoy...this is the virtual world...your are free to say what you please...and some choose to not listen...it does not matter...don't worry about saying what's on your mind...but, do worry a little about saying what's on someone else's...
