Sounds like a tip question. A trick to figure 20% would be to think of what 10% is ($9), multiply it by 2 ($18) and then add it to the original amount (answer $108).

Another way, if you are having trouble multiplying by 20% in your head, is to divide the number by 5 (20% = 1/5). Whatever method works best for you.

20 % (per cent) cent means 100. So we are talking about 20/100 that is, 1/5. 1/5 th of 90 is 18. So $90 plus 20% is 90+18 =108. Is it clear?Mathematics is a language which is difficult till you learn it. Face is with confience and it will be your friend. Best wishes.

$108
it goes like this... take 20% of 90 means
90 * 20/100 === 18
add 18 in 90.. 108 thats the total amount!!

well i'm not exactly sure what you mean by 20%, but if that means $90 plus 20% of $90 then you would do this.
convert 20% to a decimal: 0.2
multiply by 90 and you get 18.
add 90 and 18 and that gives you 108

but it may just be 90.2 because 90 plus .2 is 90.2
I hope that helped.
