I am a 64 year old and my period has been short for about 20 years. Should I see a doctor?

How short are we talking about here?

I would see a doctor to get your questions answered, mainly because each woman has a different cycle. Your history is going to determine if you're fine or if you're going through something a bit strange.

I was 34 when my periods started vanishing for 6-12 months at a time. Are you having hot flashes, because they are terrible. At 37, they tell me my hormones are fine, but I have a caruncle which is associated with post-menopausal women. Go figure!

Yes, go see a doctor or an herbalist.

Wow that really sucks; haven't you gone through menopause yet? By this age it should have stopped completely! Don't you see you gynocologist on a regular basis to have discussed this with her before now????

It wouldn't hurt to ask about it on your next Dr.s visit. Mine stopped altogether just after turning 50.
