Leaving dishes w/ food in the sink, stirring their coffee and leaving the spoon on the counter leaving a ring, not cleaning off the stove after they cook, stuffing the trash so full instead of just taking it out, putting empty boxes or bags of food back in the pantry, and my latest one, my boyfriend's brother will put his soda can w/ one sip left in the fridge and it stay there until I throw it away, really annoys me

Well, I hate a dirty kitchen. So I had lived with a roommate for a year and he says that he likes to be cleaned. it seems like every time he cooks in the kitchen and finishes using the kitchen, he leaves a big mess by not cleaning up the counter, dishes and not taking the garbage out. I had tried to leave the dishes and the kitchen the way it is to see if he will do any of the cleaning. Unfortunately, he didn't clean it. So, it ended up doing it myself...
Now, that is the worst, where I hate having a dirty kitchen and seemed that I can't use it when I want to, because of his uncleaniness.

1. Garbage that was thrown but missed the can--and not picked up.

2. Dishes left on counters and kitchen table because someone was too lazy to walk two steps to the sink.

3. 500 dirty glasses in one day--only two girls in house.

4. The fact that no one is at all capable of rinsing a single dish so when I wash them, I need a jack hammer to clean them.

Kids, like my ex (and especially teenagers) can't be bothered to HELP at all -- whether it is

taking out the garbage (gosh -- how many TIMES do I have to ASK already! They'd rather see the bin overflow and trash over the entire floor rather than just take a bag out when it is full),

scraping food remains into the trash BEFORE loading plates in the dishwasher (Do I really have to explain what it is like to have to clean out the drain lines because the piggies can't be bothered to do this!),

picking up plates in the first place,

Getting a BOWL to put a small amount of chips in instead of just placing your hand in the Big Bag (disgusting! Get the large size for the family -- who wants to see dirty hands keep digging and the germs in the bag from this!),

CLEANING up the droppings (whether crumbs, spills, etc),
NOT using up one item before opening another (hey, ever have 3-5 2Ltr Bottles of about 2 different sodas partially filled in the fridge at the same time? That is TYPICAL ...)

NOT helping put away the dishes

NOT putting Fridge Stuff (or Freezer stuff like Ice Cream) BACK in the Fridge when you have served yourself from the bin or box or jar)

Seeing that the Stovetop is CERAMIC -- and then when they BREAK it -- claiming that they "Didn't know it was GLASS" (Gee -- what do they think? After all, even dark glass gives off a reflection -- and it does NOT look like metal!)

NOT cleaning off countertops ... stovetop ...

Using so many glasses in a day that it takes THREE or more LOADS in the Dishwasher to get them clean (and there were only THREE people in the House -- me and two kids!) .... Same with number of dishes used ...

NOT being POLITE and using a NAPKIN at the table

Coming home and NOT finding my left-handed utensils -- and the ONLY knives used by the RIGHTY children -- MY Left-Handed Cutters! (Hey, for gosh sakes -- LEAVE my KNIVES ALONE!!!!! )

NOT finding MY Left-Handed Scissors -- because the Kids thought it was OK for them to take them to the classroom withOUT my knowledge and let their friends pass the EXPENSIVE Left-Handed Scissors around until they are lost or broken ....

Got to stop -- so many, and so little space ....

that is why I am so RELIEVED That Not only am I FINALLY an Empty-Nesting Single Retire ... but that I am SINGLE and don't have to deal with any toxic people around the home who expect to live off MY Income and NEVER, ever think about even helping or contributing ....

My pet peeves living with someone would be dishes left in the sink, garbage left in the garbage and leaving a drop of milk or juice in the container. (Eating up all the food without considering the next person.)

1. not throwing garbage in the garbage when the can is less than 30 inches from you.
2. not rinsing the dishes or soaking them or just putting them in the dish washer.
3. not putting food back in the fridge that need to go in the fridge in order to not go bad.
4. taking clean dishes out of the dishwasher to use instead of putting the dishes away then using the ones you need.
5. checking the dishwasher to add more dirty dishes, seeing that its full and not turning the dishwasher on.

ALL THIS TAKES LESS THAN 3 MINS PEOPLE!

OKA IM DONE :-P

When people other than me cook and don't clean the stove top

If something greasy boils over and they don't change the aluminum foil

When my dad doesn't take the initiative to empty the garbage and plays, "Let's ignore the garbage and let it get higher and higher until it is too heavy for me to take out, and then [my name] will get annoyed and take it out so I don't have to."

When I cook a meal that should have leftovers for several days, and my father makes snacks of the leftovers, so it only lasts for two days-sometimes not even that long

So many many peeves. I will let other people answer though, so I don't take up too much space.

Piling dishes on the counter when it takes 3 seconds to put them in the dishwasher...

Seeing the garbage can is full but cramming more trash on top instead of taking it out...

Leaving crumbs, drips, globs of jelly, etc, on the countertop when it takes no extra effort to wipe them up...

Dropping huge chunks of crap on the floor (noodles, paper wrappers, napkins) and not picking them up...

Leaving things out when they're not being used...

Leaving the sponge lying in a pool of scummy greasy water instead of putting it on the sink ledge...

OMG I should stop now, cuz I could go on forever.

1. leaving dirty dishes sitting on the counter on top of an empty dishwasher. would it really be that hard to open it up and put them in?

2. taking stuff out of the fridge and just leaving it sitting on the counter. I hate coming home to a melted container of ice cream because *someone* forgot to put it away

3. using the last of something and not mentioning it so when I go to put cream in my coffee or milk on my cereal or butter on my toast, I am SOL

4. putting stuff away in random places. how am I ever supposed to find the lid to the small saucepan if you put it in a cabinet across the room from where the saucepan is?!?!?
