While this crime that is described is beyond words, Vick does have the right to defend himself, just remember the Duke boys, there were indicted too and a lot of people were ready to hang them, lets wait for the legal system do their job and then the NFL can do theirs.
The latest from the Duke Case, Nifong finally says there was NO credible evidence that a crime occurred.

I think there are a lot of undetermined factors still in place. I don't think he will be released this year, but more likely either suspended without pay or asked to just stay away from the team. After this year depends on the trial. If he is found innocent I think he will return to the Falcons. If either convicted or works a deal, I think he will be released. If I had to pick a place for him for next year, I would go with Miami, with a 37 year old Trent Green, and no real player behind him, seems like a nice place for him in a year from now.

They anounced that Vick will be realesed by the Falcons because protesters would show up at every game that the Falcons played in. Not to mention that they would loose a ton of fans, but there are teams that would be retarded ad sign Vick just to have him end up in jail.
Examples:
Cardianals,
Texans,
and Raiders.

Considering he was asked not to report to training camp, and all the drama he's caused for the Falcons organization, if it were up to me I would let him go. I wouldn't want my team associated with criminal activity.
I also don't know about his own future in the NFL. He's a great rushing QB, but any team that could potentially pick him up will be under constant media and fan scrutiny, and I don't think that would be a great PR move.

Not really sure, though as more has passed after the allegations against Mr. Vick it seems more and more likely that they want to. If the Ricky Williams situation has taught us anything, it's no matter how much trouble a player may cause off the field, if they're free(not in jail) and they have talent somebody will take a risk on this trainwreck. sad but true...

I think he eventually will be let go. Can you imagine what it would be like if he's playing for the Falcons this season? PETA picketing every game, sponsors pulling out, dog lovers canceling season tickets and protesting like crazy! The public outrage from all of this will force the Falcons to release him, and i just don't see another team picking him up, especially if he is found guilty. Commisioner Roger Goodell may ban him forn the NFL for life if he's found guilty of this terrible crime, as well as he should.

I think he will be let go before the end of the trial and even if he is innocent. Of course another team will take him, especially if he changes from a QB, to a WR or RB because no matter how bad a QB he is, he is still the most dynamic and hard to game plan against player in the league.

they falcons may hold on to him, because if they let him go another team will more than likely sign him and pay more than what he is getting now.

im sure there are plenty of teams out there.
Im not sure how i feel yet, i don't know i want to be punished by the NFL or just by the FBI, im sure any punishment by the FBI would be far worse, but he doens't need to be making more money by playing football right now, he made enought dog fighting.
i just hope that he gets what he deserves.

Why does everyone assume Michael Vick is guilty?
If I say, "everyone is only jumping to convict him becasue he's black" I'm playing the race card. But, what is everyone else doing by jump so quickly to convict him? Are they playing the race card too?
