How long after being off the shot will it take to stop spotting?

I've only had the shot once which lasts for three months but I've been spotting for four months straight - every single day. I just want it to end! and wanted to know if it's normal to spot for a month after you're ' sober '.

It could take up to 2 years!

I was on it for four years, then went to Kariva to get my periods back. I got it back after 3 pill packs.
