Well.. if the offender is sincerely sorry you'll rather forgive him and forget about it, if not - you'll probably not.
And more, ordinary things are forgotten fast enough; bright and pleasant ones, troubles and other different excitements are kept in mind for long.
So there's no concrete answer, it depends on situation.

Forgiving is a voluntary action of the person and Forgetting is involuntary.
As far as i know no one can voluntarily forget.
Involuntary actions doesn't need any effort.
So when there is no effort then there can be no hardship.

So in forgetting there is no hardship.
And in forgiving there needs to be effort and control of mind so it is hard.

Forgiving needs Control and mastering of mind.
Forgetting can also be done by fools.

Forgiving is the nature of Great people and Forgetting will happen to every one.

Your question is like Which is harder to do, putting effort or to be a fool?

Thank you.

To forget. Forgiving is the most easiest part. But because of that wonderful thing called a memory, we never forget.

True forgiveness is when you "forgive And forget", like it never happened.

But for sure, atleast for me, it is harder to forget.

it's a lot harder to forget, cuz even when you think you have forgotten something brings back all the memories, forgiving is a lot more productive because once you forgive you can forget it and it won't come back to haunt you years from now.=]

To forget.
Unless hypnosis is real, or you know some other way of erasing memory... Maybe smoke a lot of pot. Then you won't care enough to need worry about doing either.

And, for the most part, we should be pretty forgiving. Not because of "Jesus", but just because we all make mistakes. If it is truly unforgivable, then, well, you can't really do either i guess.

It's harder for me to forget. I'm comforted to know that the Lord forgets my mistakes if I repent. If he can forget those perhaps someday I will be able to.
