Iltryx did you read the article? If so, then you would have noticed some very libertarian ideas in there. You know stuff like not forcing your beliefs on me and the government leaving me alone to live my life as I wish. These are some of the fundamentals of libertarianism. He may be a gun nut and he may be an avid hunter but that doesn't mean he wants you to carry a gun and it doesn't mean he wants you to hunt. It means that's what makes him happy and he doesn't believe the government has the authority to take that away. Read the article and maybe you'll understand then.

Libertarians can be just as fanatic as any other group.
And I support the libertarian platform more than any other.

Liberals, by the definition of the terms, are more tolerant of others. That's the core platform and core philosophy.

Many liberals are ALSO socialists -- believing in govt redistribution of wealth and large social programs. But those are two different philosophies that just sometimes overlap.

And the only time conservatives generally "live and let live" is when the person they are letting live already conforms to their particular way of doing things.

PETA has its own agenda. Don't assume that applies to the other 98 million people who are not in PETA but who self-identify as liberals.

I don't know about others but I try hard to be tolerant. I always try to see the other side of the story and try to teach my children to do the same. It is really passed due not to get along because someone is different in any way. I hope people are more educated then that. To know difference makes people and things exciting not bad is a wonderful thing.

Anyone who thinks Ted Nugent is a libertarian doesn't really know jack. Sorry buddy, but Teddy boy is a gun nut to the nth degree. He's not a libertarian, he's a right wing nut. He's been that way forever.

And no libertarian with any kind of self respect would be caught dead on a waco tribute site. We all know the right wing nuts are those who sqwack about Waco and the branch Dividian cultists who murdered their own kids.

I believe they are.

"Liberals" stopped the conservative practice of slavery.
And segregation.

That the word "tolerant" has been used by an increasingly hostile right shows the word MUST carry some weight.

A lot of use of the word "tolerant" as a weapon by conservatives has a viscous, sociopathic tone. Why?

The word "tolerant" doesnt mean "doormat".

"Tolerance" refers to something allowed by law.
How many conservatives want to illegalize so much?
