Back in the day Pro Wrestling and it's promoter's had was is called circuits.basically different parts of the country,i.e. The Southern circuit etc.etc.And they respected each other's territory as it related to revenue.Well Vince Mcmahan got a major cable deal for what was then known as the WWF.As the popularity of it grew,he started putting the promoters in each parts of the country out of business.
Basically he was able to gain a monopoly on the ''Sport''.And he changed the name to WWE for tax purposes.

WWE is the MOST ENTERTAINING brand around.
Admit that TNA's best storyline this year was Eric Young vs Robert Roode. A midcard fued!!!!! WTF
ROH storyline's aren't even complex for the most part they are very simple.
Now maybe they are better pure wrestling products vs the WWE. AJ Styles & Bryan Danielson could wrestle circles around Randy Orton or Edge or John Cena.
But the fact is WWE is more entertainment based not in-ring based. In yet guys like HBK, Triple H, and Undertaker can still have great matches
The reason TNA is failing right now is because they are trying to be entertainment based like the WWE. They should just have stuck to the great matches and ppv's they had in 2005.
Remember when it didn't matter if Impact was bad because the ppv's were always awesome. Now they put too many GIMMICKS AND MATCHES on to have a awesome ppv.
ROH is still a independent promotion. I agree that it has by far the best wrestling but few people know about it.
Thesae are the companies by what they are based around
WWE- Entertainment
TNA- still trying decide (Thats sad)
ROH- wrestling
Sorry but more people rather be entertained by storylines than by in-ring performance (it sucks but its true) want proof look at the attitude era

Probably because its the most famous, most mainstream and the biggest budgeting company around. WWE has merchandise everywhere, they're on primetime TV 3x a week for a total of 5 hours, they travel to every big city and country to do shows, their top wrestlers do alot of talk shows and so on.
Taking nothing away from TNA, they just don't have that exposure or publicity that WWE has. They only get 1 hour of programming, they only sell their merchandise at a couple of stores, they don't travel alot and they don't have as many big names as the WWE. If you compare the 2 company's biggest stars you're comparing Christian, Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle to John Cena, Triple H & Batista, the WWE easily wins. Its the same with ROH, they basically have no stars, get little to no exposure and alot of people have no idea what it is. I think in the next couple of years TNA and ROH will continue to grow, but it will be a long time before they reach WWE status.

For a few years, when the WWE bought ECW and WCW, the WWE was the only wrestling organization around. TNA is still up and coming. They may have alot of big name stars and they may take old WWE wrestlers, but TNA hasn't been around near as long. I don't watch TNA because I've been a WWE fan for over twenty years. And damn proud to be.
