Whenever I clean the inside of my car, I always am left with this film on the inside of my window. If I am driving into the sun, this is a problem, it gets kind of hard to see. I don't know if it is cleaning product im using on the windows (windex) or if it because i armor all my interior and then the sun bakes it and it evaporates onto my windshield. Does anyone know what the problem is and a possible solution?

Stay away from the Windex and any ammonia-based window cleaners. These are not formulated to clean "vinyl fog".

Try using a product specifically formulated for auto glass that is also safe to use on tinted windows. Autozone, PepBoys, Kragen...just about everybody sells these products. Just make sure that it is ammonia and preferably alcohol free.

Good luck.

Cleaning a car windshield involves misting the glass with a glass cleaner, wiping it down with a paper cloth and drying the windshield with a microfiber towel. When cleaning the inside of your vehicle you want to make sure that you use a paper cloth to do the cleaning of the windshield and then a designated glass cleaner, one preferably that does not have any soaps or dyes so that you do not have any streaks to result after the cleaning process. The first step you want to do is lightly mist the windshield. Take your paper towel and using a back and forth motion clean the area where the windshield solvent was applied. And then to dry the windshield you would use a micro-fiber towel and follow in the back and forth motions drying all of the solvent and cleaning the windshield.

I use to work for ford and learn to detail a car and thier is one easy solution to this it work on all windows, except the back inside because of the fogger unless your have a 2004 or older and that is to still use windex and also use a window cleaner which they have at a local car accesory shop like discount auto and it is a little handle with a razor on it, you sprey the window then with windex on it scrap it away, never do this to dry or it can scratch it, also they have a defogger cleaner which can help in the morning, never touch with bare hands it leaves sweat resido on the window.

Use Stoners Glass Cleaner, available at Wall Mart in the automotive dept. You may find it at Auto Zone, National Auto, NAPA and Car Quest.
The spray is very fine and you do not need much to clean the glass with folded newspapers until completely dry.
This product cleans the glass so clean inside and out it'll look like a brand new car. It's by far the best glass cleaner on the market.
I'd put my name and address on every can because it really works that well!
