someone explain it to me, why shouldn't you wear the bands shirt to their concert? most bands i know love to see it when someone is wearing their shirt. of course, that was before they were headlining....so someone explain it to me please.

There is nothing tacky about wearing the band's shirt to their concert, people do it all the time. You are simply showing the world your undying affection for the group. KMFDM is a band I enjoy, yet they not only wear their own merchandise while performing, but they go so far as to mention their group's name in just about all of their songs. It's delightfully tacky and no fan could top that.

It's redundant. I like looking at others' band shirts at shows so i can see what kind of music the crowd is into. but the exception is, you may wear that band's shirt to their show IF the shirt is from a really old tour so that you can impress people lol

I think its fine that you wear a bands tee to their concert..it's a little tacky tho if u buy the shirt at the merch booth and then put on tht shirt..even tho i've admitted to doing that at my first concert...i won't anymore..lol...unlessss a meber of the band is wearing their merchandise and I wanna be like them ..lol i'm weird and totaling going off on random things..lets just say that hayley williams wears her merchandise so I would buy the shirt she was wearing..if that makes any sense

i'm not really sure how this rule came about, but i do follow it. it just looks a little lame if you wear a headlining band's shirt to their concert. always wear another band's shirt. it shows you have musical diversity :D

Think about this, do you ever see a band member wearing their own shirt on stage? They're always wearing some other bands shirt. If they wear their own, they suck and are stuck up.

Yeah, it's a little predictable to wear a shirt of the band your seeing; unless it's a classic one.

I wore a turtleneck sweater to a Godsmack concert, maybe they'd rather see their shirt than that huh?
What about people who wear other band's shirts at a concert?
