Hi, My boyfriend and myself would like to take a 2 day trip to the shore in early September, just after Labor Day and I would like some input on which beaches and what areas are nice overall to go to. We are in our late 20's and it will just be him and I and we are not too into swarms of people but don't have to be secluded. If anyone could fill me in on beaches and surrounding areas that'll be great. Just as a reference, I like Ocean City, MD but I know just after Labor Day, they have Bike Week and I'm not down for that. Thanks in advance.

I'm originally from the east coast and every few summers, my parents would take me to a place called "Assateague Island" off the coast of Maryland. It has BEAUTIFUL beaches where you can set up a campsite. It's also home to a lot of wildlife - even herds of wild horses. If you're into photography, this place would be great also. Do a search about it and I'm sure you'll end up wanting to check it out.

Cape May, NJ is an excellent choice.
You could also try Wildwood which has a nice boardwalk including rides and arcades and is only a few miles from Cape May so you could still visit.
If you like to gamble - Atlantic City. They have beautiful beaches :) but the boardwalk area is looking a little run-down these days except for the new mall they built on the pier.

I love Cape May, NJ. The beach is very nice, the town area is "Victorian". Lot's of motels or bed and breakfasts for you to choose from.

My wife and I were there a couple weeks ago, stayed at the Queen Victoria Inn (b&b) it was exceptional. Check it out on tripadvisor.com.

Do not waste time or money going to the Lobster House - it sucks!!!
