Since people think we need to spend less on handouts to people (I am assuming they mean to people, and NOT corporations) and more on the military, I was just wondering how much more money the military would get, if we cut all of the poor children off of welfare...and while we are at it, let'e let the GOP have all of their way, and make abortion obsolete, that way our population goes up 25%...and we get rid of welfare, and spend it on the military. How does your country look now?

So we kill 25% of our population to control it? Great plan. We should be making people viable in the workforce rather than providing life long handouts. We should discourage illegitimacy rather than provide a simple way out. We better spend on Defense. Someone in this hemisphere has to do it. It might as well be us. If you haven't noticed lately, there are radical groups bent on harming our way of living.

Yeah, welfare for women and children, for a maximum 5 years and not a lifetime (like in California), and no benefits raised for having more children, and only after drug testing. I have to drug test for my job, why don't welfare recipients have to drug test. Remember it costs tax payers $8.00 for every $1.00 a welfare recipient receives.

Depends on what you count as welfare.

Pork is welfare.
