It just stopped working & we need to hit the reset button.......

It would be on the motor. But we have had Whirlpool dyers for years (under Lady Kenmore name) and have never seen a button like that and never have needed to push one.
What is not working? Does it heat up? Does the light come on when you open the door? Do you hear a motor sound? Does the drum turn if you push it by hand (might be broken belt)?
More likely is a failure of a thermostat if no heat or or one fuse if you have light and no motor action. Least likely is that the motor is jammed and needs to be reset. If the motor was stuck it would be likely to turn until it burned the belt and then keep spinning and you would smell the burnt rubber.

you need to call up the people who installed the unit, if it's under warranty they have to honor it
