Many times! LOVE IT!! Tons of hiking and camping. It's a rock climbing mecca! Some of my personal favorite trails are the Pine City trail, Lost Horse Mine trail (the entire loop is really nice, but not short), Barker Dam and Hidden Valley are both beautiful spots for a short hike or picnic lunch. All the way at the south end of the park is Cottonwood Springs and the Lost Palms Oasis. As you drive from north to south (or the reverse) watch the transition from low to high desert. Very cool!! There's so much to do it's incredible! Hike up Ryan Mountain for great views of the park or drive to Keys View for some stunning views of the San Andreas fault and Salton Sea and the towns in the valley. Be saddened by the smog conditions on many days.
I'm going back in October and now I can hardly wait!!

Drove through it at/near dusk. I thought is was a wicked cool sight. Never got out of the car though - I was going from Lake Tahoe to Phoenix.
