Oh yes...I've known many who love to wallow in self pity. I'll listen to a point and then tell them that they enjoy what they are doing. It usually brings them to their senses...unless they are as stubborn as my youngest sister. It gets to be quite selfish after a time and then I start ignoring her whines. She still refuses to see....it doesn't change a thing with her.

My oldest son whines a lot and right now I am trying to teach him to fight for himself instead of whining. I hate hearing it all day.
