Use a measuring cup or one of those precise cylinders to determine how much water is there in liters. Every mL is one cc.

one of a scientist's instruments, is one called the graduated cylinder. that measures volume...now, to find volume when certain objects are added...it involves final volume and initial volume (subtraction)...in relation to mass, and density there is a formula followed.....D=M/V
simply finding how many ml...use the graduated cylinder.

Depending on the amount, there are pipettes, beakers, tanks etc., calibrated to different volumes.
