"Sterilization" can be many different procedures.
Tubal ligation -- "tying" the fallopian tubes. Yes, periods continue.
Partial or complete hysterectomy -- removal of the uterus and for complete, ovaries et al. No, no uterus, no periods.

You still have your periods
When sterilised your tubes are tied.
Your ovaries .uterus,and vagina are not affected
You produce your egg but it cannot now pass down the tied tube to meet the sperm.you therefore do not get pregnant.
Your ovaries not only produce your egg-but they also produce hormones(chemical messengers) to build up the lining of the uterus for the baby.As you do not get pregnant you have your period.
If your ovaries were removed or if your womb(uterus) was removed you would not have a period.

yea, but your'e period will be irregular. sometimes you only get your period 3-4 times a year with sterilization.

yes, they will but the menstrual periods would be irregular in some cases
