Whatever happened to the AZ senator McCain who attempted to run for President but was abandoned by his own staff before the first primary?

I figure he will stay around until he has used up all his campaign donations to travel, fancy meals, etc.

Then when he has a negative balance, he will withdraw his name.

You mean the one that abandoned the idea of actually paying his staff the salaries they were earning?

It wasn't so much of a presidential "run" as it was a bellyflop off the high board.

I only remember a Senator from Arizona who is against the 2nd amendment (has a F- rating with Gun Owners of America Inc), has sponsored and introduced the worst legislation and whom I would never vote for. Thank you for asking.
How about considering Ron Paul for President?

Don't know but the media sure enjoys beating these people up. It's sad really and not needed. He didn't really have a chance anyways, if he'd had Soro's backing him up like Obama does it would have been different, but then Soro's money is blood money so at least McCain was honorable by not having it.

He still is running and it was only a few top staff members.
