It is possible but if you are trying to do it you will try to hard and always shoot and look like a ball hog! If you just shoot when you are open and have a good shot than i would say you may be able to do it. The guards shoot the most and usually make the most points per game. Just play your game and don't force the shot!

scoring is not a pg's primary job,a point guard is supposed to be a coach on the floor and a point guards job is to get his team mates involved so scoring 45 has a low chance of happening

no assuming you are an amazing shooter, you still shoot around 50% (and that is a great #).. to score 45 you would have to shoot around 40 times a game (yes, give or take 3's and FT).. that is a POOP TON as a PG.

You would get so tired trying to orchestrate and creating all those shots for yourself and getting assists. There aren't enough minutes in a game and there aren't enough muscles in your body.
