Betta's can go with most any other tropical actually, they just don't tolerate other Betta's, from the male's end. You could group females togeather however. Common misconception about this so called fighting fish, is they attack other fish. Only to a certain extent. Fish with big fancy tails or flowing fins might get targeted, but basically, Male Bettas just can't go with other Betta's and females can be grouped with most anything.

Betta's are agressive to their own kind and to other fish that resembles them. You can put females together but you must have a group of them 3 or more to level out the aggression. They will have to establish a pecking order. That's why you usually see a tank of females in a pet shop and the males are in those tiny cups.

Female bettas will bite at each other if they arent accustomed to living in a tank of other FEMALE betta fish. You should keep three or more female bettas in a tank together, never two. The females like someone else stated will form a hierarchy amongst themselves and only nip at each other when ranks aren't followed.
Don't forget that not all fish are the same, and one of the females could possibly be a bit crankier than all the others and attack more often. If this happens, you have to put her in her own tank.
If you do keep female bettas together, make sure the tank has a lot of hiding places. For the first few days, the females will be nipping at each other, and chasing each other around. Having hiding places helps greatly.

Both males and females fight. I wouldn't put them together except for mating. Males can never be put together unless you have an enormous tank and both can have huge territories. For females, though it is possible for 2 to be together, the chances are, most can't go together and will fight till death. However, if you keep 3 females together, they can make a pecking order and get along with each other fine. If you keep 3 or more together, then it will work but less it wont and only with females.

Nah. Both Males and Females does fight. It's just that, on the average, Males are more aggressive and have better stamina to fight. Females usually just flared to determine who's more dominant.
But I have not once experienced that my females are more fierce than the males that they killed the males..
Cheers

You can put a few females into a community tank, but you also could put ONE Male into the tank
You CAN'T put females and males together, and you CAN'T put 2 males together
But they will get along with any other fish that don't have long fins like male guppies
Hope that helps
Good luck

it depends on the betta.
Some females will fight,
Females when placed in an aquarum, may fight for a few hours as they setting a pecking order.
It wont be anything serious, but keep an eye out.
