In Irish tradition the Shamrock or Three-leaf Clover represents the Holy Trinity: one leaf for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit. When a Shamrock is found with the fourth leaf, it represents God's Grace.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
History of the four leaf clover:
The four leaf clover is a universally accepted symbol of good luck with its origin ages old. According to legend, Eve carried a four leaf clover from the Garden of Eden.
"The clovers also occupied a position in the cultural life of early peoples. White clover (T. repens L.) in particular was held in high esteem by the early Celts of Wales as a charm against evil spirits." Clover Science and Technology". N.L. Taylor, 1985.
Druids held the 4 leaf clover in high esteem and considered them a sign of luck. In 1620, Sir John Melton wrote: "If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaved grass, he shall in a small while after find some good thing.
The mystique of the four leaf clover continues today, since finding a real four leaf clover is still a rare occurrence and omen of good luck.

I agree witho both Peace & Milly & with Kiwi & Cream. You make your own luck! If something isn't going right in your life stop and take a look at why it isn't going right. Are you not feeling well? Are you unhappy? What are you doing for yourself? What are you doing to yourself? What are you doing with yourself? It's okay to carry a lucky object with you whenever you go someplace or buy a lottery ticket or go for a job interview. But a lucky 4 leaf clover or rabbits foot can't bring luck if you don''t believe in & have confidence in yourself first. A confident person might carry a 4 leaf clover just for good measure! It's the amount of confidence a person has that helps to activate the luck! The more confidence you have the luckier you will be! As long as you don't become arrogant then you reverse your luck.

The four-leaf clover is an uncommon variation of the common three-leaf clover. According to tradition, such leaves bring good luck to their finders, especially if found accidentally. Clovers can have more than four leaflets. The most leaflets ever recorded is eighteen. t has been estimated that there are approximately 10,000 three-leaf clovers for every four-leaf clover. According to legend, each leaflet represents something:
The first is for hope,
The second is for faith,
The third is for love,
And the fourth is for luck.
Love & Blessings

Perhaps you have a limited idea of good luck. A charm requires positive intentions. But perceiving good luck is something you can learn to do.
tip: Start small. What are the simple things today that give you a happy feeling, or a sence of your best self, or a peaceful state of mind.
Luck doesn't have to be material. Just noticing the little good stuff will eventually help your appreciation of luck to grow.
Other cultures (not the USA) are very fond of luck. Having it , getting it , sharing it. Sort of a base material in energy that can be cultivated . And by doing such and such ones luck is enhanced.
Ireland is known for its relationships to the faeries which thrive in constant rain that keeps land green and in the exstatic music that makes the wee people dance. All those sorts of things contribute to sence of good luck.. They apreciate the enrgy in the land.
Recognize good luck. You probably have lots right around you but are choosing to focus on other stuff instead.
