Well the name of my band is Broken Road because that is exactly what my life has been. God has restored many things in my life but for years it seemed somewhere "deep inside" me there was (and is) a destination to be reached...and only through Christ have I been able to see these things through; practical things as well as my soul's Salvation.
Broken Road to me seems to speak to people that even though I was TOTALLY screwed up, God STILL reached down from Heaven and died for me to make me new.
I have an evangelistic heart (as I am assuming you are...hence, your desire to be in a Christian band) and want to go into not only churches and Youth Festivals, but bars as well and preach the good news to the darkness of this world.

So...
#1) Broken Road is, to me, an evangelistic tool even in itself so look at your life or sit down with your bandmates and talk about one common thread that has linked you all together.
Was it alcohol abuse?
Was it broken homes?
Or was it simply that you all came together through Christ?
The STYLE of music might play another factor ya know? My music is Korn, Tool, Linkin Park sounding.
Let your bandname be a witness even in itself whether it is:\
The Jesus Freaks, The Thompsons, Religion Sucks, Dangerous Fruit, The Tree...or whatever. I'm just trying to get your mind in the mindset of what I'm talkin about, and of course, above all, pray about it.
#2) Once you have it, go to bandname.com and REGISTER IT! That way it is yours and nobody else can actually have it.
That is what I did with Broken Road.

Good luck and God bless!
Let Christ SHINE through every ounce of you!

I been trying to get bands to use my idea for a year now and no luck... It will work for you..

It is Seven
Can be listed as:
7
Se7en
or
seVen
(and the cap V stands for Victory over evil)

777 is God's number the number 7 represents him and the fact that most people choose 7 as their lucky number as well.

Please, if you choose this number, give me credit for it.

Thanks

You should not need explanations - and neither should your fans. They should *get it*.

Lamb

Eighth Sacrament

Eleventh Commandment

Fatted Calf

Last Leper

Beatitudes

I have more, but gotta go. I am sure that you each taking a couple of books of the Bible will yield great names - there are THOUSNDS - depending whcih way you want to go.

"We Who Love" is a good name for a Christian band. Or "The Faithful", even "The New Age Prophets." Hope these help.

it depends on how christian your music is vs. how rock n roll it is. i thought of this one in a about 2 seconds and depending on how you present the name it could be corny or badass, MASS or The MASS thats a solid name

What kind of music? That would affect the kind of name that will be good for them.

I like the name Sparrow because of the story about how His eye is always on the sparrow and that as small as the are they don't worry about the small, petty stuff because they know they will be provided for by Him.
