Hi,
I just wanted to take a poll and see what everyone's favorite Frank Black song and record are and why.

Also, who do you like the best post Pixies? The Breeders are pretty awesome too, I haven't heard the Martinis but I hear they're allright.

Anyhoo, I figured it would be fun to read about something different.

Man Lovenrockets, you're awesome. That assessment of the Breeders is so funny. I never really thought of it that way. In a way you could almost say four records if you include the Amps record (which is really great if you haven't heard it yet). I think Kelley Deal was in rehab or something, but sound wise it's basically a Breeders record.
I love that first self titled record. Los Angeles, Don't You Rile Em, top to bottom it's a great record. The three records that cycle about as my favorites are that one, Teenager of the Year and the self titled Frank Black and the Catholics record. I think my favorite tune is probably (I Wanna Live On An) Abstract Plain, but it's really hard to choose.

Frank Black likely peaked with his first solo album. Los Angeles is still one of the best songs ever, yet I almost forgot about it until I saw this question. Men in Black was also good times. The Breeders will go down as the greatest yet laziest band to exist. Three albums in 17 years, that's pathetic. Get back to work Deal sisters.
