well i have a 4-5 mnth old kitten. and get a big pack of food (hard and soft) at the begining of each mnth. sometimes every 2 mnths which is about $23 then litter is about $10 a mnth. so kitty about $30 mnthly.

i also have a puppy. he's a stafordshire terrier (pit) and about 8 weeks. so we buy his food in bulk too to last the mnth. so about $25. and he poops outside or on .50 cent newspaper! lol...

My total pet cost mnthly is about $55-$60. (Not including vet whch is lik every couple mnths).

That depends on what type of animal you get, how often they have to see the vet (injury, illness, anything that isn't a usual wellness check), how much they eat, how many items they need besides toys, then you have to factor in toys and the play items to go along with the necessities. It's not cheap to have a pet but it's definitely worth it.
