I want the lid with the ring to be open.
She wants it closed with the ring down.

How comes im wrong in this absolute 50/50 situation ALWAYS??

No. Im not wetting the floor and no im not 10000 things not related to this.
And if its the look of the commode that is a problem i wonder why the commode estetics say its more 'nice' when its down.Furthermore have i never met anyone that stands around the báthroom "to watch my lovely commode" so can it!

I want it up.

She want it down.

Im wrong.-

WHY?

Im prepared to put it down for her ofcourse, but if she is asked to put it up for me im a fool!

GAAH!

get it! This isnt the the most important issue and the idea that woman could need a class to avoid 'falling' in it was news to me but of course i give in and think about more real issues but its a pattern were everything orderly-defined after the closest girl-always want to spread a idea we guys are idiots.
Im not an idiot but i belive in equality and that is a thing conserning men as well as women, mabye more realy but when strange women stuff are at the table theres no real will to come clean.
Its a petty question.I know.But puzzling!

You are wrong. When the seat is up you can see all the dirt and the stains. EWWWWWW!!! Gross. Plus if a women doesn't realize the seat is up, she can fall into the toilet and trust me that is no fun to get your butt all wet. Just put it down. It takes what like 2 seconds away from you life.

Well, you are 'correct' in a two person household, but there is one aspect that you 'left out' ... and that may be the most important aspect.
First, men can 'hold it' longer than women ... second, men MUST look at the toilet, and women not only 'don't' but frequently can't look ... and when a woman 'sits' on a 'fully opened toilet, which has the 'seat' up, she 'sinks' ... and there is nothing quite as bad as having a 'sudden cold sitz bath' while she's trying to keep an eye on the kids, or trying to think of what to make for dinner for her husband, etc. THINK ABOUT IT.
Men have 'trouble' with multi-tasking, but they seem to expect women to do that 'automatically ... but if you 'turn it around' you can SEE that the one who MUST LOOK should defer to the one who 'usually doesn't look' ... so put the lid down, and quit your complaining!
And if that doesn't convince you, try this on 'for size' ... you and your wife are getting 'intimate' ... and virtually all women need to take a leak before the actual 'intimacy' starts ... and we don't want to 'spoil the mood' so we don't turn the lights on. We want to 'go fast' and get back to the 'fun stuff' as much as you do. So ... we zip in, we sit, and SPLASH! That 'intimate mood' is GONE ... at least for that night, because we know that 'water' is full of germs, and we want to take a shower or a bath and 'clean up' ... so, again, I say that is why MEN need to use their brains, and put the 'seat down' ... ALL THE TIME ... Think about it!

I suppose it is a case of aesthetics, when it comes down it, me, for ease, its always up, but when I have guests coming to the house, all of its down and that way they can decide.

Saying that though, when I go to people's houses, I leave it how I find it.

My last girlfriends house was a nightmare, the seat was fitted to close to the cistern so you had to prop it up with a knee whilst doing some target practice.

For sanitary reasons it's best if the lid is kept down...put it down before you flush. You wouldn't believe how much junk splashes out of the bowl when you flush.

Do you have any dogs? Pets occasionally drink from the bowl, dripping toilet water on the seat.

This is something that women are trained by TV and comediennes to make a deal out of, when it really isn't a deal at all. Women feel like they aren't proper wives if they don't have something to shout at their man about. The toilet seat thing is just the classic and most obvious one to go for.

yes its the nature of a beast women are programed from birth that they are always right and they will have the last word in every argument and that everything a man says is just the start of a new argument. Just let it be I finally came to the realization not to long ago. Its like the changing of the tides or a full moon. its always going to happen so let it be.

I saw on the news that when you flush the toilet you should close the lid because when you flush, the force makes all the germs and bacteria fly everywhere. They will land all over your toothbrush, soap, etc... Gross!!!

It's called respect. You open doors for her, you take care of her first before yourself. It's part of the commode rule.. You must leave it down for her.

Well, you both use the toilet with the seat down, however only you use it with the ring up.

So there you go.
