Looks like every single day my boyfriend and I are scheduled to be up there it's supposed to be raining. We already have a hotel booked and were planning on doing a lot of hiking and things outside... is there anything to do that's still fun even when it rains?? Please don't say shopping.....

First off, don't believe the weatherman!
You could visit the Polar Caves in Plymouth or Lost River in Woodstock which are mostly underground. You could go up Cannon mountain by gondola. You could also go up Mount Washington by car or train. You could also take scenic train ride from Conway. You can go swimming in the rain too. It's also still fun to go hiking in the rain, just wear a raincoat if you don't want to get wet.

There's some bars around the area. . .But honestly, I wouldn't be too worried about the weather forcast. This is New England, it's impossible to predict! Even if they say rain, generally it will only rain for a little while and then clear up. In the mountain area particularly if you are in a valley area you might get no rain or a lot of rain and the surrounding areas could be completely different!. . . If you've rented a car you could drive to some other nearby nice cities, like further up NH, or down to Portsmouth or something too.

Don't count on the weather forecast too much. When they predict afternoon or evening thunder showers, they will last anywhere from 10-30 minutes, mainly because the humidity level is up right now. You can still go for rides in your car and explore the many back roads! You never know what you will see or find. There are several antique stores that are fun to look around in. Just about every town has a historical society building. When you get here, just look for the travel brochures that are in all the businesses and go from there. Make sure you drive across the "Kank" from Conway to Lincoln to Woodstock.

well if your coming up today, it's beautiful and for the next few days we're only expecting t-showers. You could check out some of the Museums ( Robert Frost), still be able to hike, take drives looking for wild life, the list goes on. It's hard to thinl of things when you live here all the time!
