Ok I've decided to move out of my apartment because my roommate has gotten really abusive, stalkerish, manipulative, controlling, and just plain creepy.

I've been staying at my parents. Yeah it's that bad. So um should I buy or rent a place in the city before moving out because there's no room at my parents' place for my stuff? (furniture mostly).

Please help and suggestions?

There is no storage facility in my city and it costs.

I did not sign the lease only one of my roommates signed it.(the one that I get along with so well)

I'm sorry, sweetie. When that happened to me, my parents had a storage building at home, about the size of a two car garage, where I could put my stuff in temporarily.... But what I'd do is this, since that is not possible for you: Check out good ads and all listings for apartments and rental houses you can find. Maybe get on a board asking for a roommate. Get that furniture out of what we'll refer to as "the old apartment." OR ask if it will be alright to let them use it till you have another place lined up already. If they say YES, then don't drag your feet on getting the new place. Get it immediately. I don't know what exactly took place between you all, but hopefully, weird or not, they still respect you somewhat and will hold onto your things for a couple weeks while you get yourself situated in a new setting that will allow you freedom. Try to be honest but kind, don't blame the roommates when talking to them. Present it to everyone in a positive light....

Buy if your sure you'll stay in the same city. It beats renting and you can do what you want in decorating etc. Renting is a pain.

You can't be serious! Be an adult-approach this room mate and tell her she's got to straighten up. Don't be such a namby pamby. You are being bullied-don't you see that?

if you can afford to buy, that would be best. you could build up some equity and make money when you sell it
