or is it "Spend and spend"?
Can someone tell me where there is proof that lower taxes for big oil, for example, is generating enough revenue (by trickle down theory) to pay our rising debts? (hint: Iraq war)

So Ritch say the deficit has gone down. I guess the "deficit" doesn't include iraq's rising debt. How does that not count?
And it's voodoo economics to think we can pay for endless wars while eliminating all taxes. I also like tax cuts and do pay taxes, but I think those who want a war should pay for the war, and those who want more education and healthcare and environmental regualtion, scientific progress, etc. can pay for that.

Lower taxes for the Oil cartells in America are corporate welfare given by Bush to his Loyal Business associates.

Bush has spent this country nearly into oblivion

I'm a conservative and my biggest problem with both Bush and the recent Republican congress was the fact that they were spending like drunken sailors...or democrats...on every program that came their way. That REALLY ticked me off. And while the war in Iraq is expensive, it's not enough to break our bank. It's the miriad of other programs that the republicans passed. (Hint: Prescription Drug Entitlements)

However, two things. First, the president did inherit a recession and the tax cuts did turn that around. No rational person can argue today that the economy is not very strong. Secondly, that strong economy has reduced the deficit. Cut it in half as some claim? Perhaps not, but it has been reduced significantly. The reason for this is the income generated by the strength of the economy that was kicked off by a tax cut. It works! You can cut taxes AND increase revenue.

You may not like tax cuts and it's probably because you don't pay taxes. But I do and I love 'em. AND, get this! I would support eliminating ALL taxes on business. When business is strong, America and Americans prosper. Helping business helps America. Get the taxes from income. When businesses prosper, we'll have enough to pay it...everyone will.

I don't mind giving a tax incentive to business, if they would pass it on to the consumer in the form of lower prices, but that never happens since they just take it in the form of higher profits. So screw business and all other corporate entities and tax the hell out of them and prevent them from passing any of it on to the consumers, with price controls! Bush is going to bleed this nation dry if he's allowed to continue his insane spending plans! Price controls are going to george's legacy!

If you want service, you have to pay taxes! Nothing is free. The economy is NOT strong right now, it's only inflated! How much better are you living now compared to eight years ago? How many home foreclosures do you see in todays market? How many jobless people do you know? Don't tell me how good the economy is so great, when it is falling! If you want to use the stock market, don't bother, it is inflated! You know inflated?,Like ENRON!
