you can avoid that.
-leave way below your means and dont care about the lifestyles of neigbors and friends.
-save
-only use credit for the following ,buy a hous , bussinnes and education..everything else is dumb!
-buy thigs that can make you money (a house to rent or some stocks), and do not buy things that make you poor, like a 3 dollar late every day that in fact costed 35 cents to produce.
-if you dont have a 401k , you are giving away free money.
-get your self a nice hobby that eventually can become a second lucrative job., something to replace the american hobbies, shopping and eating.
-save for retirement, the sooner the better..
-take good care fo your health..being sick can be really expensive in the u,.s and its much worse if you are not able to work.

All the time...but I guess if you look at is as "Cup 1/2 Full", there is always a goal to work toward...(Like I NEED another goal...lol). I have found that my higher Power always has a plan, whether we like it or not....and so far, things have worked out well.....so not going to complain here.....:)

YES, it seems like there's always a curve ball with dental or medical bill that happens when finances are finally going right. ~ Sigh
