Hi

Thanks for the question. There are several answers to this one.
They are divided into both Morale and Legal.

Legally it is wrong, the law would take a dim view upon the situation, as you are 16, there would be leniancy, depending on what she would say on question and in court (It is strange how a story can change under pressure after an event)

You may face being labeled at a young age for your relationship, even though you are young yourself.

Morally, a 14 year old may look like an adult, and may consent to sex, but is still mentally developing, and interlinked with law, cannot make her decision for sex, no one can. It would be a morale battle between the issues faced by her parents and so on.

I am not condeming you, however, as a parent, if I were her father, I would seek to have you charged if I became aware of this situation, even though I would have faced the same dilema at your age- Im a hypocrite I know.

The best advice I could possibly give is to leave off for as long as possible, at least until she is 16. If you feel that you cant wait that long, it really is in your best interest to find someone else to satisfy the need.

If the pressure seems to come from her, try explaining that you must wait, if that doesnt work, you must question is it love between the pair of you.

Really, do be careful, because even if you are not charged, the very fact that Police may be involved after an "Incident" could cause you to have a permement record (At the chief constables discretion) for the rest of your life, and this could prohibit you from many things in life.

Take Care!

Define wrong.
A 14 year old does NOT need to be sleeping with anyone, and I think a lot of blame should be put on the 16 year old for not knowing better.

Personally I think its wrong and illegal here in the UK. But think long and hard about it and talk to each other if its what you both really want and are happy be sure to use protection and keep yourselves safe!
As others are saying you could face rape charges and be registered as a sex offender if it all goes wrong, sometimes the best things come to those that wait, don't be pressure into it by mates etc. if they are telling you about there escapade their probably lying any way!!

Would I prosecute a 16 year old in a genuine, genuinely in love with a 14 year old if they end up getting to a home run carried away.

No.

Would I prosecute 1 16 year old who gets off on bet post notching where he tells 14 year olds anything he can to get them in bed, maybe plying them with alcohol, then dumping them harsley once gets his end away most likley not using condoms sinmple so it feels better so can boastto his mates that he did it and is winning the cherryplucker competition caring nothing for the emotional damage done to the girl and wrecking her first time

YES

Why...? same age range?

The few years around 16 is a a grey area judged by merit on a not a good idea but can happen without malicious intent or be preditory.

Prosecuting and splitiing up a very much in love couple is wrong and will do far more damage then them sleeping together however the girl would be put on the coil, condoms, AND NUVA ring/Depro injection or implants.

What matters is this time of life and first times go smoothly which is why that law was made to stop child prostitituion not teenage couples.

The important thing morally is to avoid emotional damage and pregnancy to early.

generally the rules should be

14 Second base (the cliothes stay on and hugs, kisses and top half feel up) no more then that to allow emotional and realtiosh development withotu going to far.

15 at most getting to 3rd base stuff pretty much mid fifteen onwards. ie Bjs and hands under clothes.

16 or nearly 16 for sex and in all cases we are talking genuine in love or caring friendly activity.

In all these cases things like treating the other perosn bad would be taken into account.

So would things like if the guy GENUINELY thought she was older and did a Trainspotting like in the film where he gets seduced by the 15 year old girl who GENUINELY is in control, mature and deliberately makes out shes older and fine with things and the guy GENUINELY did not know.

In all cases if Judge I would be looking for harm done and malicious intent as a factor ethically.

However legally speaking in the Uk where the age of concent is 16 certainly the US the guy can be charged with statutory rape aand put on the sex offenders register which would totally ruin his life as he gets labled a peadophile etc. And in jail they are not nice to such activity.

it depends if the judge is like me

Ie looks to see if it is in the public interest and the girls interest to prosectute. Many would not see it in anyones interest to prosecute some pair of loved up snuggly couples who are hormoned up and cant keep mits off each others as feelings to stong and could not wait a couple of years.

However the parents may not see it that way and want you toasted.

I would have more of the hippy attiude wanting people to be in love and happy and safe so would judge by the base above.

And have enough intelligence to be realisitic regarding teenagers being human and part of nature so maturing at different rates.

Others have these silly ideas that teenagers are children not teenagers who insist in a deluded notion that this is a little girl but if she gets pregnant then trun really nasty to the frightened upset girl (who only got pregnant as lacking sex ed and development support.) as it messes with their fairy tale notions of kids dependant on parents.

Im realistic and concenr is for peoples best interests not following the letter of the law I follow the spirit.

Work it out yourself there but note a 14 year old getting pregnant its far far worse then for an older woman including dealing with things like abortions and if she gets pregnant you can sod off if she has the baby , she cant and would wreck her life.

That's depends... are you ready for parenthood? Do you intend to marry her, do you have a job?
Being intimate with some is not just about satisfying your lust and desires. You have to be ready to accept responsibility for the consequences. This is not a casual decision that you should make just because someone else wants you to...

If your friends or a girl asked you to jump off a bridge, would you?

First of all you both are to young to be thinking about sleeping with each other. And yes it is wrong maybe not to you but to the law. You can go to jail for having sex with a person to young to consent to sex. check the law book before you lay down with this one.

You could get put on the sex offender list if anyone found out as she is onder 16 and you are 16 not worth the risk really

If you have to ask then you know it would be wrong. End up on the sex offenders list and wreck your life just for a girl who wants to throw it you? Are ready to deal if she gets pregnant? Condoms or not, and you would be a putz to consider ANY sex without one, it could happen. you ready to pay for a baby for 18 years? Think about it. Do you even like her? Its illegal, and unless your gonna ask her daddy permission to be with her, you need to walk away.

yes it would be wrong lawfully as she is under age and the law says she may have concented but she is too young to make the descion. Dont do it, if the police find out you could be done for rape regardless if she wanted to!
