Your midwife will not induce you at your appointment tomorrow due to the fact that they have legal requirements to make sure that there are enough staff to cover you and this can not be done in 12 hours. Emergency is a lot different. If you go into labour, you are priority so the people that have been induced, through request, will have to wait.
Because of your EDD and that you are 39 weeks you can ask to be induced however you will be booked in for a date and trust me, once you do that you will probably go into labour all on your own. People schedule Ceasareans and natural births all the time to fit in with their life. It's a common practise these days.
Best of Luck with your baby!

I don't think its a crazy question to ask your mid wife. Since you are 39 weeks pregnant it shouldn't be a problem. I was induced with my first child so that my husband could be there. (he was stationed over seas). It feels really weird asking the question but most will work with you. Its a pretty common thing for ppl to do. So i would defiantly ask and explain the situation.

I dont think its insane people opt for schedualed deliveries all the time even choose a c-section over vaginal birth cause they want it done faster although I dont neccesarilly agree with that I have to have one cause my daughter is on the big side and may be to big to come through the birth canal tomorrow we are discussing all the options with my doctor and i plan to ask him to do it asap so I dont see why you shouldnt good luck

There's no harm in asking i wouldn't think. I was going to ask my midwife the same thing today as i'm now 37, but i chickened out. I felt stupid. But ask not, want not i say. Fingers crossed she says yes. Good luck x

Being this close she might. You could try herbal remedies such as Blue Cohosh or Fenugreek. Also raspberry tea... the highlight to these herbs are that if things arent' meant to happen right now, they can't hurt you or the baby. Try being as active as you can... I would seriously exhaust all natural methods before moving onto induction.

I don't see why she wouldn't. The baby is fully developed. You are considered full term at 37 weeks.

no one should induce you before 40 weeks or even up until two weeks after unless medically necessary. it could cause problems if the baby is not ready to come out yet. just wait like the rest of us have too.
