i heard i need to look for a chevy truck 350 and trans. wanting to know what year make an models i need to look for. I'm not good with under the hood stuff. so any suggestion would be great.

Any motor and trans. combination that you find will fit into this type of car without too much trouble. I say too much trouble for someone that knows how to do this. There is a great deal of work involved in replacing a motor and/or a transmission. If you are replacing a 305 with a THM200 or a THM250, it is a pretty basic swap with only a bigger rad needed, possibly. If you have a V-6 motor, there will be a lot more needed as to do with suspension work as there will be a lot more weight involved with the bigger motor and such. You say you are not too good with underhood stuff so get some help.. Good luck.
