Why are people even entertaining delusions or grandeur regarding Barry Bonds?

This guy is an egomaniac, and a racist, and he does steroids!
I don't care if/when he does break Hank Aaron's record, he should not be celebrated in ANY way at all.
He will never be the player or the man that Aaron was/is.
He knows no humility, and has the talent of a genetically altered sub-human, and the personality of a dung-beetle.
This guy does nothing to advance the sport of baseball, and is a "Me" player, not a team player. This is the problem with the sport of baseball in general nowadays.
I hope MLB puts a BIG HUGE ASTERISK next to EVERY single stat on this man's career.
Just look at his head now compared to when he was on the Pirates! He's a roid-head for sure.

He and Gary Sheffield should go shack up together and leave baseball to the real players.

youre correct in your rant about bonds* . he deserves no place in any place with upstanding players like cal ripken, tony gwynn, al kaline, and lou gehrig.... what i disagree with you on here is about gary sheffield... gary sheffield could never shack up with bonds* because there are too many from yahoo answers tossing his salad with grape jelly right now and making lame excuses why bonds* is so great. sheffield would never get in edgewise.

You know, he's going to break the record and it's going to be a big deal. There are definitely people who believe he's reached this point naturally. I don't, and I don't think he's a very nice person either, but it is what it is. Who knows if the asterix will ever come into play? Like I've said before, if they were going to shut this whole thing down, it should have happened a long time ago. After it's done, it's too late.
On a lighter note, remember when Barry Bonds dressed up like Paula Abdul? What was with that? Something tells me he's got a hobby.

He was always 1 of the best players in the league. Been a Hall of Fame caliber player since the late 80's.

You never met Barry because of the way you are speaking. I've had the pleasure of meeting him at my place of employment (EA Sports) and think you've got some nerve telling lies.

He's not racist because I saw he accommodates everyone's requests for photos and autographs, he does not take steroids now but has in the past when HGH and steroids were "LEGAL".

He is not Henry Aaron, but named Barry Bonds, his godfather is Willie Mays and father is Bobby Bonds. Another lie saying that Barry Bonds is Henry Aaron.

He has humility, as I always observed in person, has the talent of a normal human being and the personality of a genuine nice person.

He advanced baseball by hitting HR's, getting free walk records and striking out more than other sluggers. He does care about himself, but who does'nt????? He cured his "myitis" by participating in team and community functions so you lied again.
