Now that the Harry Potter series has finished, I'm looking for another book/series that is similar to J.K. Rowling's style. Or anything that takes you in and is very good with getting your imagination going!

Do you know anything along the lines?

Check out The Belgariad series by David Eddings. Its great. For younger kids (10-12 ish), look up Lloyd Alexander, the series starting with The Horned King. If you remember the Disney movie The Black Cauldron, that is the second book in the series, and again, is a great series. Enjoy!

I found a series I really enjoy called the Sisters Grimm by Michael Buckley. These are much easier reads of course, but they work under the premise that the Brothers Grimm were really historians and that the fairy tale creatures are real. It is set in modern day New York.

Yer I agree, im in love with a series of unfortunate events by lemony snicket.

They have plenty of twists, mysteries and scandals to get your brain ticking. And don't get put off by the first books, they get progressively better. Seriously a must read.
