You may want to call the vet and make them aware of your concern so that they know to expect you in should you see any signs of discomfort or pain in your dog. My own dogs have eaten much larger than ice pop sticks, though (tree branches, wood furniture, they were very naughty puppies) and all have been fine and are still trucking 8 years later.

You can call the vet to be on the safe side if you want, but I can tell you that my dog (lab) has eaten plenty of sicks. He has eaten eveything from sucker sticks to tree sticks. He is fine. Dogs chew, thats their job. The most that will happen is that he may throw it up. Before he swallowed it, he chewed it which boke it up so it wasn't sharp in his stomach.

You should call the vet, but I'm sure they will tell you to watch him for vomitting and stuff, but wont need to see him.

This should be in Dogs, not Mythology & Folklore but the dog will probably be fine. Watch him to see that the stick doesn't cause any issues due to splintering...or if you are quite concerned, call your vet and ask them if he should be brought in.

Call the vet,.... that stick can and will cause injury to the system of the dog.

I'd get him into the vet, wood can puncture his intestines and rip his stomach.
